Choosing the right Camera Setting for yourself in Rocket League is not an easy task. But, don't worry in this guide I will tell you all the camera setting in Rocket League that suit's you most. For the most part, I will be using PRO players settings as a reference, but there are also a few settings that will come down to your personal preference. So, stay tuned and keep reading, and I will help you find the best controller setting for you. Remark: To help you guy's better, I have explained every setting in detail. And for anyone who doesn't want to read all that, I have also provided a list of settings. What is the best camera setting for you? Camera Setting really does make a huge impact on your gameplay. And if you are using a Bad camera setting then you will not be able to improve your ranking, even if other settings are right. Camera Setting used by PRO Player's the most:Field of View (FOV): 105 to 110Distance: 260 to 280Height: 100 to 110Angle: -3 to -5Stiffness: 0.35 to 0.45Swivel Speed: Above 4.0Transitional Effect: 1.4 to 1.8 This setting is used by most of the Notable pro players, so this should work for most of you. But, there is a chance that it might work for you, but worry not, because, for this exact reason, I have explained every setting in detail. Camera Shake Enabling Camera Shake will shake your screen every time you do anything. And there is only one piece of advice I can give you. Just DON"T USE IT. Just Uncheck the Box. This setting is never meant to be used. Every time you do anything your Camera will Shake. You Dribble- your camera will shake, You use Jump, boost- your camera will shake. This makes the game totally unplayable. There is a reason that NO PRO PLAYER USE this setting. Field of View (FoV) Preferred Range: 105 to 110 The field of view is how wide you can in the game. FOV is like the lens of a camera. At maximum, it's like a wide-angle lens, you to see much more but things seem smaller and further. At a minimum, it fell like everything is zoomed in and the thing seems larger and closer but you will not be able to see much. You should always keep your FoV high because for a game like Rocket League, there is no need for you to keep the ball unnecessarily bigger and closer, and things don't distort that much even at a maximum of 110. Around 70% of the pro players in Rocket league keep their FOV at 110, while 12% keep their Field of View between 100-105. So, over 80% of pro players keep their FoV between 100-105, so I don't think it would be a bad idea for you to keep your FoV between 100-110. I also play the Rocket League at 110 and it works perfectly for me. You can try to find your Sweet spot but keep it between 105 and 110. Camera Distance Perferred Range: 260 to 280 Distance is the How close is the camera to your car. The higher, the camera distance, the more field you will be able to see. But it also makes a lot harder to control the ball. The Lower, the camera distance, the less you will be able to see What is going on around you. You also have to keep in mind that FoV and camera distance go hand in hand. And affect your control when the car is on the ground. They won't affect your Ariel action's that much. You already have around 110 and using maximum camera distance will make it infinitely harder for you to control your car. But you definitely don't want to keep it too lower that you are not be able to see What is going on around you. So, What is the camera distance that goes well with 110 FoV? Over 60% of the pro players keep camera distance between 260 and 280. The majority of them use 270. If you want more control, then you can go as low as 240. And if you want to see more of what's going o your screen, then you can go as high as 300. I personally keep my camera distance at 250, it is a little bit lower then what most PRO player use, but it gives me more control over the ball at the price of vision. It all comes down to your personal preference and playstyle. If your playstyle requires you to have more control, then use low camera distance. But if your playstyle requires you to see more, then use higher camera distance. Camera Height Preferred Range: 100 to 110 Height is How high the camera is, to your car. The higher the height, the more you will be able to see on the screen. But your accuracy will take a hit. At the maximum 200 height, you will be able to see everything but hitting nothing. Well, that was just a joke but at a maximum height, your accuracy is going to take a hard hit. The Lower the height, the less you will be able to see. At the lowest 40, half of your screen will be taken by your car's bumper. You won't even be able to dribble. Height is a setting in which you cannot go too extreme. So what is the best range for camera height? The best camera height is between 90-110. Almost every PRO player keep their height between this range. Over 74% of the pro players in the Rocket league keep their camera height between 100-120. Don't keep your camera height too high or too low. Stick to what PRO use so that you don't have to change it as you rank up. I keep my camera height at 100. It feels most comfortable to me. You should also give it a try. Camera Angle Preferred Range: -5 to -3 It is the angle of the camera with respect to the car. Increase the Camera Angle too much, and you will make it too hard for yourself to do anything in the Air, making it too hard for yourself to control the ball. Although decreasing the camera Angle too much is not as bad as increasing the camera angle too much, but definitely not playable. You can't see the front of your Car. Where FoV and Distance affect your control on the ground, Camera Height and Angle are going to affect your ariel tasks. So your angle is going to be affected by the height you choose and vice-versa. So what camera angle should you choose which works best with the camera height you are using? Over 84% of the PRO players keep their camera angles between -5 to -3. But there are a few PRO players who go as low as -8 to make it easier to see the opponent while dribbling the ball but they are very Rare. But there are very few players who go below -5. And I have personally try to play with 110 camera height and -7 camera angle and I hit the ball, a lot. but it never goes where I wanted, You could say it was a total disaster. I am currently using camera height at 100 and camera angle at -4. I would recommend you not to go below -5 camera angle. You should experiment and choose which combination works best for you. Camera Stiffness Perferred Range: 0.35 to 0.45 Stiffness is how quickly camera follow behind your car. The Lower, the camera stiffness, the slower the camera will follow you behind the car. At the Lowest 0.0 stiffness, the camera will follow you very slowly allowing you to see more as you increase the speed, but lower your accuracy. The camera will come back to its original position as the speed decreases. At a maximum of 1.0 stiffness, the camera will follow you really fast. It will be right behind you except for the time when you go super fast. It won't make your accuracy fall but in return, you will see less of the field. Camera Stiffness is all over the place for pro players, some use 0.0 camera stiffness while some use 1.0 Stiffness. so there is no preferable range. It will come down to your personal preference and what setting you choose before. Increase it if you want more accuracy or decrease it if you want to see more of the field. I am currently using 0.5 camera stiffness but my friend is using it at 1.0 even though our other settings are the same. Camera Swivel Speed Perferred Range: Above 0.4 Swivel Speed controls how quickly the camera moves when you use Analog stick to manually move camera, The Lowest Swivel speed makes it move smoothly but slowly. The maximum Swivel speed makes it move really fast almost instantly but rough and jarring. The majority of the PRO players keep it above 0.4 because anything lower than 0.4 is too slow to be useful in games. But still, it all comes down to your own preferences. Keep your Swivel speed slow if you want to move your camera smoothly, or you can keep it high if you are fine with the camera's rough and Jarring moments. I am currently using 5.0, Swivel speed. It is neither too fast nor too slow. You can also give it a try, who knows you might like it. Transitional Effect Perferred Range: 1.4 to 1.8 Transition Effect will affect how smoothly and quickly your camera moves from Ball cam to Car cam. At the lowest Transitional Effect, the camera will move slowly but it is easier to follow. At the maximum, the camera will move instantly makes it harder to follow. I personally keep it at 1.6. When I use it at maximum 2.0, I lost track of my car. It's just too fast for me to keep up. But if you can, then you can keep it at 2.0. At the end of the day, it all comes downs to your own personal preference. Experiment and choose what you are most comfortable with.
